FRIENDSHIP

The Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which relies solely on friendships, tours, and donations for funding to support the day-to-day operations of the preserve.

Your friendship contribution, which is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law, will allow The Foundation for the Preservation of the Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve Inc. to achieve our goals which are:

• To protect Briarwood’s old growth forest.

• To protect Caroline Dormon’s botanical collection of plants and continue to add new

species.

• To insure the protection of the rare and endangered plants at Briarwood.

• To provide a safe habitat for our wildlife.

• To make Briarwood available for educational studies.

• To educate people as to the necessity of preserving an entire ecosystem and the

importance of biodiversity.

• To teach the value of native plants in the landscape and their potential for medical use.

• To stimulate the interests of our youth in the natural world.

• To preserve Briarwood for future generations to enjoy.
